I assume you're using Evince to print the PDF- perhaps it's an Evince bug? Check whether you can successfully print a PDF from another program. Is Evince reporting that the print job is completed, or is CUPS? See if you can have CUPS hold all print jobs so you can see if the PDF job is even ending up in the print queue. And, of course, verify that all programs are trying to use the same (correct) printer :)

Here's what I've got...

Printer: HP LaserJet P3015 series
Driver: HP LaserJet P3010 Series Postscript [en] (recommended)
Computer OS: Ubuntu 9.10

I've installed the HPLIP-3.9.12 package.

Here's the strange problem...

All files except PDF files print fine.  Text files, PS files, and
printing from a browser directly works just fine.  But when I print a
PDF file, the job goes to the print queue, and then "completes," but
nothing gets printed.  The printer doesn't even spit out a blank page;
the printer literally does nothing.

I had this problem before, using an older HPLIP package, but even after
reinstalling and configuring from both the CUPS web interface and the HP
Device Manager, the problem's still here.  I'm running out of things to
try.

Anyone have any idea what's going on?

TIA,
Daniel
