: LUG: Help choose an open-source project for the LUG to work on

Hey guys,
We've been kicking around the idea of choosing an open-source project
to get involved in as a LUG. The basic idea would be to choose a
project, let people pick and choose what sort of stuff they'd like to
do and then have some sort of blog set up where people could report on
what they were doing.
Right now we've had OpenOffice and Ubuntu suggested as projects, but
we're open to other suggestions. Ideally, the project would be big
enough that people wouldn't have trouble finding something to work on
and of course interesting enough that people would want to contribute.
So, if you have any suggestions for a project, please let us know
soonish. We're sort of leaning toward Ubuntu now, FWIW.
