Subject : LUG: installing from secondary slave dvd or realm kit

Greetings,

I have a RH9 with two IDE drives that I'd either like to install Fedora
3 or the campus Realm Kit. While I know that I can move some hardware
around, I'd like to find the simplest way to accomplish one of the
outcomes. The first is that I have services and data that I'd like to
save from RH9. This is easily accomplished as I can install either the
Realm Kit or Fedora 3 on the second drive (primary ide controller, slave
drive). My challenge is that I'd rather not open the box and switch
around the IDE cables to write to my now slave drive and remount
partitions. Thus, I'm considering installing Fedora 3. If I chose to
install Fedora, I'd prefer to install from a DVD image or even the
network. My DVD drive is on the secondary chain and is the slave drive.
I can't tell my bios to boot from the secondary slave. Is there a dd
utility that I can run from a floppy. I can mount an iso on my Windows
box and create some form of boot floppy. The Realm kit might be an
option too, if I knew how to modify the kickstart.

Any kind suggestions are appreciated. Cheers,
-Dave
