Folks,

One of the things that has been suggested many times is to have some
sort of Open Source Fair for the NCSU community. There is quite a large
open source community here but few people know what is actually taking
place among the many groups, departments, and colleges across NCSU. A
big part of running successful Open Source projects is attracting other
members of the community to become involved. Campus Linux Services
would like to foster such an environment.

What I would like to do is work with the CSC department, Engineering,
and other interested folks to setup a time/space for the fair. Open Source
projects could setup displays and have space for short talks/sessions.
I would also like to invite a speaker or two.

Thoughts? Would folks like to do a display/demo of their Open Source
projects?
