You have not listed your wireless device but I am assuming it is one of these
Intel(r) PRO/Wireless 2200 Internal Wireless (802.11b/g)
Intel(r) PRO/Wireless 2915 Dual Band Internal Wireless (802.11 a/b/g)
Which are the two options dell gives you when purchasing the Inspiron
6000. For either of these cards the drivers can be directly
downloaded from Intel at
http://support.intel.com/support/notebook/sb/CS-006408.htm . Intel
also supplies email based customer support for the installation of
this driver. Though it is most likely unneeded as the driver comes
with thorough instructions.
