It's a new semester, time for our semiannual meeting to perform democratic elections within our free state and to plan the semester activities. Since we'll be holding elections, preferably the majority of members should be present. I know the first week of school can be hectic so I want to plainly ask the following to get a sense of where we stand:

1. Are you able to attend the meeting this coming Monday at 7:00 p.m.?

2. Are you interested or willing to be an officer of the LUG?

As a reminder, the following four officer positions will need to be filled:

* President

* Vice president

* Treasurer

* PR officer

Current students, staff and faculty members are eligible to be officers.

Depending on the answers to the first question we may move the meeting to next week, because it is critical we have enough people present to fill these positions and cast votes. Therefore please let me know if you can attend Monday.
