Install both windows and linux.
Basic networking knowledge.
Be able to multitask, work well in a team, problem solving skills.

Nice to have qualifications:
Be able to use a volt meter.

Position #3 (this is a 1st shift position):

Group provided support to Storage Options Test - contractor required to support storage testing for xSeries Storage Options Product Line. This individual will be responsible for testing multiple storage products. Duties include , test case execution, setting up storage configuration, OS installation, basic hardware/software debug, and test results collection. Testing will include hard drives, optical drives, tape drives, RAID controllers, SCSI controllers, and DASD enclosures.

The tester will be involved in unit and integration test of software deliverables including: Service Processor Hardware, Service Processor Firmware, Device Drivers, BIOS and misc. utilities. The position can involve one or more of a broad range of responsibilities including: debug, test, calibrate, troubleshoot, inspection, preventative maintenance, repair, and install of computer technologies and/or on equipment in our facility. Candidates should be able to work in a team environment, have good communication skills, possess high-energy, and the ability to think creatively. Flexible work hours are also a must.

Duties and responsibilities include test plan generation, test plan execution, opening defects, working with development to resolve defects, test reports, and reporting test status

1. Required skills to fill open Systems Management/Software Tester Position in a the ServerGuide lab environment.

• A fully Certified MCSE with robustly related work experience, or a computer science degree (or equivalent),

• Must be able to use technical and analytical skills in preparation, support and test of network operating system installs, system and network management, and system update deployment applications.
• In-depth knowledge of System Management, Networking, and Topology's.

• Must be able to perform server/network administration.

• In-depth knowledge of: hardware (xSeries servers and BladeCenter a plus), Adapters, Raid, configurations, BIOS, and Drivers, etc.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows NOSs, or a UNIX based NOS (ie Red Hat).
• Requires good working knowledge of software applications.

• Must work well in a team environment
