Here is the URL to the Firefox extension:
https://addons.mozilla.org/google/google_toolbar.html?c=beta&os=win&d=set&h=set

If you don't want Google to be set as your default search engine, replace "d=set" with "d=asknot".
If you don't want Google to be set as your homepage, replace "h=set" with "h=asknot".
"os=win" - 'win' can be replaced by linux or mac if you are using either of those platforms.

First try visiting that URL at work; Firefox may prompt you to install the extension, or it will be blocked (I sure hope it isn't blocked or else your Firefox extensions won't be receiving updates!). If it is for some reason blocked, then on your home computer, visit the page but with Google Chrome or Internet Explorer; you can then save the .xpi file, since they obviously don't recognize Firefox extensions.

The xpi file is a Firefox extension file. You can install it into Firefox by opening the add-ons window (Tools > Add-ons) and dragging the xpi file into the extensions list of the window.

(In order to find the above information, I just looked at the JavaScript on the toolbar installation page.)

i want to install a google toolbar on machine in my office but they have a filter installed on the routers which blocks access to certain websites including the one with the google toolbar. the solution to this problem is to find an installer (i'm looking for a firerox windows installer, that's what we use at work), download it onto the usb and install it. however i was not able to find anything online (it is possible that i performed a poor search). does anybody know where can i download the installer?

any help is appreciated.
