pdflatex and other latex utils by default are set to use A4 paper. This means that your documents always get scaled down when printing, thus making your resume look funny. To fix this,

sudo texconfig

Press enter to continue, and navigate through the menus: Â Paper > Letter US

Now everything will be beautiful. :-)
