iTrust is not currently used to store any real medical record systems,
as suspected. However, it is used in both education and research,
including outside of Dr. Williams research group. If you're willing to
submit a patch, I suspect they would include it for future CSC326
classes. I don't know if it was mentioned already, but iTrust is
available from sourceforge at http://sourceforge.net/projects/itrust/
and student work is included in the release at the conclusion of every
semester.

If you think iTrust code is bad, you should take a look at some of
applications people are actually using to store medical records in.
