This semester, we're doing things a little different. Instead of bi-weekly presentations, we're doing things more event style. Every Tuesday we'll still have dinner some place at 7pm. This isn't set in stone, but it's our tentative schedule right now.
February
:
Michael and Carson are hosting a
programming competition
:
On Tuesday 22nd, they'll be teaching about programming competitions - How you solve problems, algorithms you should really know, things to expect, etc.
On Saturday 26th, we'll actually hold the competition. There will be food.
March
:
We'll be participating in
E-Week
, a week (similar to CCC, minus the camping) full of fun engineering-related events. All the engineering groups will be participating.
April
:
On Tuesday 26th,
movie night
will be held during dead week as usual, this time at the home of one of our members. Spaghetti dinner will be served. This event is open to regularly attending members.
This semester's movie: Tron Legacy
Fri 29 - May1, the
CarolinaCon
technology conference is going to be held right here in Raleigh. We'll be attending as a group. For regularly attending members, the LUG will cover $15 of the $20 admission fee.
