I was using Linux and wanted some clarification.

I was recently discussing with some people about the compression utility 7zip (also gzip compresses, tar doesn't), and how it doesn't compress media very well. Well I had another one my mind that did, but I couldn't remember it. Well I do know and I believe it was called 'tecuha'. When I first found it was a while ago so it might be a bit dated, but it did some great compression with images, video, and maybe even 3d objects. If anyone had any thoughts on this I'd like to hear them.

Slightly more Linux-based I had a problem. I've been trying to run this program which isn't a Windows exe. So on Linux I finally got some info of why but still don't have it running. It's a player called AdPlay that is apparently en ELF file that still refuses to run, even though I thought Linux had support for that. So I'll attach some links I found and the information I got from some commands. If anyone can help me run/emulate this, or get me any farther thanks.
