Hey all,

Looking for one of you wonderful people to end my suffering, lol... I have compiled and installed compiz 0.8.6 from source on my slackware box. I am using the "intel" driver in xorg.conf. My graphics card is an intel 4500M, and I know from doing the research that others have had this build working with my hardware. For some reason my wallpaper plugin is broken, along with any plugin that is trying to set a background. That includes the cube plugin's dome pics, cube cap pics, and ofc my wallpaper. My image loaders seem to be fine because using fluxbox, my wallpapers work fine, along with Esetroot. So... The main problem is this. On my compiz screen, I have my applications showing up, but again no wallpaper. Any windows that are dragged have stale images of how they were dragged as if the screen isn't refreshing for them. The other thing is that cube gears works fine, but the cube itself just shows gray on the top side, and transparent/black backgrounds on my workspace backgrounds. I found one wallpaper.c fix on launchpad, but it hasn't fixed my problem. It's not the same problem as their's anyway though. When I switch to tty and back, the wallpapers aren't drawn. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Oh... and I'll attach a copy of my xorg.conf in a follow up email. Thanks in advance!
