We are recruiting on behalf of an emerging cloud technology company (TRUE, patented, unique technology for leveraging and enabling the cloud) who is seeking a Senior Object-Oriented Linux Developer with distributed systems background. This position is located in the Raleigh-Durham, NC area.

The Linux Developer will work in the development team to create rock-solid, cutting-edge software within a newly forming industry.

To be qualified for this opportunity you must possess the following:

• Experienced Linux Developer who can demonstrate knowledge of integrated systems
• Experience in high-level object-oriented languages like Java, Ruby on Rails, and/or Groovy
• An advocate for scalability (service-based (REST) architectures, asynchronous processing, redundancy, etc.)
• Experience developing distributed systems/systems that run on multiple servers
• Experience with enough different technologies to realize a craftsman chooses the right tool for the job
• Must be a passionate developer who won’t stand for poorly written software and is a true technophile who keeps up with the latest software and technology trends

Preferred skills are:

• Experience with XEN or KVM
• Experience with virtualization and cloud-computing technologies
