Hi all,

I have been told by Microsoft, weeks ago, that I will be having a
Windows 7 launch party (as for those of you that don't know, I'm the
Microsoft rep for NC State); I remain without any other details. The
invitation that I sent Alex and other friends was for a separate
informal Windows 7 party, and is not meant to be public - it's a house
party, not a launch party, as the website indicates, and furthermore
it's not on the release date. The launch party will be a very public
matter, if Microsoft will give me any sort of details about it or even
any more confirmation that it will be going on at all, and I will be
the first to email the LUG, as well as posting flyers and otherwise
letting everyone know. But in this case, sorry all, I don't know
anything about the actual launch party which I've been told I will be
putting on.

I don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings. My apartment is small, I was
given a limited number of supplies, and as a result I was forced to
choose between my friends for this house party. I really can't invite
all of you.

If you'd like to read more, this promotion was posted on Gizmodo:
http://gizmodo.com/5351384/windows-7-house-party-everybody-gather-around-the-computer
- it was not something created by the Microsoft Student Partner
program, though all MSPs were guaranteed to be hosts.

Thanks, and sorry,
Ricket
