Dear Student Organization Leader:

Hi, my name is Lisa Thompson, and I'm one of the fundraising officers for the NC State Chapter of Habitat for Humanity.  Every year for the past six years, we have hosted a 5K road race fundraiser. This year will be no exception.  The proceeds from the race will help to construct a home that will go to a very deserving family who might not otherwise be able to afford one.  The 5K has grown every year, and this year, on April 22nd, we're hoping to have our largest group of runners yet!  However, we'll need your help in achieving this goal.

How you can help:
-Organize a group of runners/fun run (a shorter, untimed event)
participants from your club.  It's a lot of fun, and it will help your organization get a little bit of publicity if you all wear shirts with your organization's name on it.  There are discounts available for groups of 8 or more if you email me with special requests.  Remember, the money that we raise is all going towards a good cause.
-Send an email out to your listserv telling them about the race.
-Sign your club up for a limited number of volunteer spots.  The race starts at 7:30, and the set up crew will have to be out there early, but we promise we'll make it as fun as possible (isn't everything fun at 5 in the morning?).
-If you would like to help sponsor the race by donating money, items to go in racebags, or door prizes, we'll be happy to acknowledge your
organization on our shirts and on banners throughout the day of the race.
