The OIT site shows that a linux version is available:

To get Matlab installed on linux, you have to bring your machine to the
ITECS Help Desk in Daniels 204. And FYI (because I just found out) Matlab
for Windows is now available for student download; earlier Windows users
had to go to the help desk as well.
