Our next meeting will be next Tuesday at 7:00pm in Riddick 461 .

Open source software now has some of the most powerful tools available for professional desktop publishing. In this meeting, we're going to touch on many of the programs available as we produce a two-page newsletter. The discussion is going to emphasize Scribus NG, Inkscape and The GIMP. We're also going to go over some useful tools to pair with these programs, such as Hugin, Luminance HDR, GREYC, and Krita. Finally, we'll talk about PDF output, and where professional DTP is going from here.

We'll be patronizing a local restaurant after the meeting.
