Well, I got the FC2 boot.iso image from
ftp://ftp.linux.ncsu.edu/pub/realmkit/realmkit-FC2/i386/images/, as that
was the latest realmkit boot image I could find on that ftp site. When
that one failed, I tried the boot.iso image at
http://install.linux.ncsu.edu/pub/realmkit/realmkit-WS4/i386/images/,
with the same results. Am I n00bing on myself and grabbing the wrong
image, or was I supposed to specify the http location at the initial
setup screen with F1-F5 where I normally just hit "enter" or "linux
noprobe?"

And, just for kicks, I put the CD into another machine and it seems to
work fine. I've gotten up to the blue GUI screen just fine and it seems
to be happy.

Welp, I appear to have n00bed myself. CD-ROM drive appears to be a lil
flaky, even though it works fine for installs of *cough*Microsoft*cough*
products. Sorry for the drama :( Oh, and for what its worth, the CD
drive that I pulled out appears to have retailed for $1227.29! What a
bargain!
