Hi,

Sorry for the cross-posting, but the NDSTech group wanted to invite
interested LUG folks to this presentation. Open Enterprise Server (OES)
is Novell's SuSE Linux + NetWare offering. It is included in our
Academic License Agreement with Novell. The Novell people been told to
be prepared for some technical questions :-).

Folks,

Novell has been invited to campus to give a presentation about their OES
(Open Enterprise Server) product: what the DS (Directory Services)
roadmap looks like, what cross-platform issues are involved, and what
migration issues are involved...just to name a few of the specifics.

The presentation will be on Friday, November 18, 2005, from 9:30 am to
11:30 am in the Faculty Senate Chambers of the D.H. Hill Library. There
will be approximately a 1 hour presentation with plenty of Q & A time to
follow. So there will be ample time to ask specifics about how the new
technology could integrate into our campus environment.

If you'd like a little more detail on OES before attending the meeting,
you might take a look at
http://www.novell.com/products/openenterpriseserver/ .

Sincerely,

Donna Barrett
