Hey, another potential lappy Linux user! That Broadcomm card will be a
bit interesting to get to work, but I have a Linksys (rebaged Broadcomm)
that works just fine through Ndiswrapper. If the guy helping you out
has problems, mention that program to him...it takes all of 5 seconds to
find in google (not even that if he's fast!).
