Greetings,
I recently got a Linux laptop (Fedora Core 2 pre-installed) because I
need to use some Linux software. I only know very basic Unix/Linux
stuff, but I kinda like the Fedora core OS, and have been using the
laptop a lot.
Recently, I've had a frustrating problem connecting to a free "high
speed" internet at a hotel that was 10 Mb/sec instead of the 100 I'm use
to, and the tech support guy said this was preventing me from connecting
to the hotel network. I ended up being reduced to using a stupefyingly
slow modem connection.
Is there a simple way to change the expected connection speed?
Thanks,
Fred
