Hey all,

Don't mean to interrupt your summer, but I just wanted to let you know
about a new game development site that has been proposed on Stack
Exchange (parent site of the amazing stackoverflow.com ); it's a Game
Development Q&A site, of course! I've been pretty active within the
gamedev tag of Stack Overflow but I'm really glad to see this
potentially becoming a separate site.

Please go read more about it:
http://area51.stackexchange.com/proposals/2825/game-development?referrer=uV4i5y3VwTN3hJ0vc5L2Fg2

Before they (Stack Exchange) are willing to create the site, they want
to know that it will be used, so it currently needs more people to
commit to using it. To "commit" just means giving your word, kind of
like an online petition.

For more info, see the Wikipedia article on Stack exchange:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stack_Exchange or the FAQ on this "Area
51" thing: http://area51.stackexchange.com/faq or of course, the URL
above for the proposed Game Development site.

I think this would be a great resource for game developers like
ourselves to ask and answer questions. I've spent a lot of time on
Stack Overflow asking and answering questions myself, and it's been a
very valuable resource in my programming efforts. To have something
like that but specifically for game development would be spectacular.

Thanks!
Richard Carter
