In all honesty I think it is a bad idea to subsidize T's.  If we want these cheaper, maybe we can pool individual funds (not the club's) for a bulk discount.  If we can get 12 people to buy them it is $15, if we get even 2 at a time, it is $17 instead of $18... but if you want a shirt I don't really think it is the club's responsibility to make them cheaper by way of club funds.  I think advertising and a club server are both better uses.  Heck, I would even think food for a couple "LUG Events" would be a better use of our funds.

I can, however, see buying a couple shirts for prizes or something if we can ever think of an event worth doing that for (but maybe well endowed flash drives would be better?)...

I went with Printfection because the quality of their shirts is very good (durable cotton and ink-printed images, not that crummy plastic stuff). Using some of our money to bring the quality to an affordable price seems like a good idea to me.

I would be willing to spend $5 on a T, maybe even a bit more, but there is no way I can afford that price ($17). Perhaps either the LUG could subsidize some of the cost, so it would only be $7, or get enough made that we could sell them for $6 and break even. I know if we decrease it to a spot color, we could get them printed locally for about $5 each.

People complained at the meeting that we don't have shirts. But we do. Please buy shirts.
