So, I know from the last time I asked this I heard we cannot record because
the room does not have that equipment. It's also last minute so we
probably can't change to a room that does, although that would be cool if
someone can look into that. Is anyone able to rent a video recorder from
the Library, or at least the audio recorder like last time?

Sorry for not posting this earlier, but we decided in the
#ncsulug-business channel that I would grab an audio recorder. Ian
Kilgore or myself will sync up the audio with the slides later.

Thanks,
Matthew Frazier

If you guys can get ahold of a webcam, guvcview works pretty well for video
recording. You can also use VLC to do a screen recording on the computer
of the presenter. You can then use a video editor such as Kdenlive to sync
up the two side by side or just grab the audio from the video recording.
Saves some work by only needing to line up one sequence.

SEDS @ NCSU is doing a video conference with another chapter at the exact
same time as the presentation, but if I can get one of the other members to
bring their webcam then I might be able to lend you mine. The meetings are
still held in EB II, right?

Thanks,
Charlie West
