Hai Lugz:
This month, it would be really great to get together for a Hack Day. The
project we have in mind is finishing up the new LUG website[1], but as
always, you're free to bring whatever project you're hacking on (or for
grad students, whatever paper you're writing).
The two candidate days for this are Saturday 22nd and Saturday 29th.
Please fill out the doodle poll with your preference[2]. The door will
be open from like 9 AM till 6 PM for you to drop in and do whatever.
While there is an option for Saturday 15 (Software Freedom Day), I don't
want to take any attention away from SparkCon[3] being held in Downtown
Raleigh that weekend. If you would be free to come to the hack day, you
should go check them out. There's going to be a workshop affiliated with
Trilug on BlueTooth security if you're in the mood to learn something new.

Renee,
When you send an email to lug@lists.ncsu.[redacted], it gets sent to everyone
who subscribes to the list. So everyone on the LUG list got this
email. We also got the similar one you sent on August 30th.
I don't want to speak for the entire list, but in the past, we've
welcomed job submissions that were tailored specifically towards the
LUG (e.g. a job that required specific Linux knowledge, or an
on-campus job that would be fit for a student). However, I don't think
this is the place for general job listings. There are other more
appropriate lists for that (surely the NCSU CS dept. has a job listing
mailing list?).
