Folks:

I'm looking for a document scanner that works (whether or not it's
officially supported) with recent versions of Ubuntu (10.04 and later).
Here is an *example* of the type of scanner I'm looking for:

Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500
http://amzn.to/mlGHHu

I've read reports of people getting this or similar scanners to work,
but I'd love to know about any first-hand experience that any of you
has. I guess theoretically I could use these scanners with a VirtualBox
VM, so if you've done this, please also let me know.

These scanners are typically expensive, so I'm wary of buying one
without having a high degree of confidence that it will work.

Any feedback would be much appreciated...

Thanks,
Daniel
