And you have checked the Restricted Drivers Manager, right? Here's a

My card didn't work with any Ubuntu before 9.04 (except through
ndiswrapper); then suddenly with 9.04, the RDM had drivers for my
wireless card. For 9.10 I had to install them again and my card works
again.
