We end up asking a lot of the more random LaTeX/TeX questions we have here on the group (mailing list/ IRC/ in person), because there isn't a good repository/index of LaTeX questions... yet.

Here is a proposed one on stack exchange.  Basically it needs support, and when it has enough support it will be launched as a free Q&A site in the style of the popular programming site: stackoverflow.com .
