Here are the minutes for Wednesday 11-2-05:

In attendance were 11 people: Ed, Heather, Elliot, Adam, Baird, smithj, Justin, Chris, Tim, Carl, and Dave.

Tim gave an excellent speech on customized Linux: rBuilder Online. A few points from Tim’s presentation:

He passed out packets exemplifying Conary’s compactness compared to RPM and dpkg.

He explained rPath’s philosophy on eliminating the idea of a Linux “distro.” and promoting the idea of an application image.

He demonstrated the power of rBuilder Online.

After the presentation we went to Bali Hai for dinner. For the second time in a row, we pushed back how late they stay open!
