The date for the next installfest has yet to be determined. You can find more information on our installfests here.

To assist us in planning installfests, we prefer (but do not require) persons who are planning of bringing hardware to pre-register online (it's free), so we know how many people and what type on systems to expect.

We hold installfests usually once per semester. They are held on Saturdays starting around 10:00 AM.

Be sure to defragment your hard drive twice before you come if you have another OS installed. It is typically a good idea to disable "swapping" (sometimes referred to as virtual memory) altogether before running defrag, and to leave it disabled until after Linux is installed.

10:00 AM: Start the festivities
10:00 - 11:00: Arival window for folks that want their computers installed.
10:00 - 1:00: Install time
1:00 - 2:00: Lunch time (g108 will be locked and secured)
2:00 - 2:45: Problem Session + continued trouble shooting
